Mariental Fire Station Bolstered by Donation of Fire Trucks and Ambulance

Background

The Mariental Fire Station received two fire trucks and an ambulance on Monday, thanks to a collaboration between the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development, the Municipal Council of Murcia in Spain, and the Motor Vehicle Accident Fund. Deputy Minister Evelyn! Nawases-Taeyele highlighted the donation’s importance in enhancing firefighting and rescue services in Mariental and the Hardap Region. Station manager Dirk Cloete emphasized the urgent need for these resources to navigate narrow streets in informal settlements and improve response times.
