ECN concerned over low voter turnout

The Electoral Commission of Namibia has registered 823,761 eligible Namibians since the General Registration of Voters began on 3 June 2024. The highest numbers were recorded in Khomas, Ohangwena, and Omusati regions. ECN spokesperson De Wet Siluka says there was a slight improvement in turnout in early July but expressed concern over the overall low turnout.

Namibians will vote in the Presidential and National Assembly elections on 27 November 2024.
