Florida judge dismisses Trump classified docs case

A Florida judge has dismissed the criminal case against Donald Trump on charges of mishandling top secret documents. On Monday, Judge Aileen Cannon granted the defence motion to throw out the case because of how the Special Prosecutor was appointed. The ruling removes a major legal hurdle facing the former president ahead of November’s presidential election. This comes just days after Trump survived an assassination attempt at a rally in the US state of Pennsylvania. Sally Patterson has more.
