Japan, US and South Korea’s top uniformed officers vow to boost cooperation

Japan and South Korea, America’s two most powerful allies in the Pacific, are tightening security ties amid increasing concerns over China’s assertiveness in the region and North Korean threats, according to Japan’s top general. It follows a meeting between top uniformed officers of Japan, the United States and South Korea in Tokyo. Laura Westbrook reports.
