Vice President Leads Groundbreaking Ceremony for N$70 Million Civic Affairs Office in Nkurenkuru

The Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security ministry held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Civic Affairs regional office in Nkurenkuru, Kavango West. Led by Vice President, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, the N$70 million project is set to begin construction by August 13, and complete in two years. Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the office’s role in improving service efficiency, including birth and death registrations, identity cards, passports, and immigration matters, while reducing travel time and costs for the region’s 123,266 residents. The Vice President emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing documentation gaps.
