Swartbooi Criticizes Low Voter Registration and Central Government at Keetmanshoop Event

Landless People’s Movement leader, Bernadus Swartbooi expressed concerns about the low voter registration in the ||Kharas Region and urged citizens to register before the 1 August deadline. With only 41,861 registered out of 70,672 eligible voters, he called for an extension of the registration period and criticized the ECN for not including prisoners. Swartbooi also condemned the central government for concentrating power and resources, alleging corruption and neglect of regional authorities.
