MSF Reports Severe Violence and Healthcare Collapse in Sudan’s Conflict

today23 July, 2024

Background

Civilians in Sudan have endured severe violence for over a year amid ongoing conflict between the army and a rival paramilitary force, suffering repeated attacks, abuse, and exploitation from both sides, Doctors Without Borders reported on Monday as per Reuters. The physical and mental trauma has been worsened by the collapse of the healthcare system and the insufficient international humanitarian response, according to MSF.
