Kenyan Police Detain Protesters Including Activist Boniface Mwangi

Kenyan police detained several individuals on Thursday as they attempted to deliver a petition to the president’s office and lay flowers in memory of those killed during anti-government protests a month ago says Reuters. Among the detainees was Boniface Mwangi, a prominent activist. Protester Hanifa Adan reported on X that some parents of those killed in the June 25 protest were also detained.
