The Deputy President of the Namibia Economic Freedom Fighters, Longinus Iipumbu, has dismissed former party member Michael Amushelelo’s criticisms of the party’s leadership. Amushelelo questioned the NEFF’s leadership capabilities, alleging that the party failed to submit audited financial reports to the Electoral Commission. Iipumbu called Amushelelo’s claims “childish” and lacking in substance. Amushelelo posted on social media on Sunday, criticizing the NEFF for not submitting audited financial statements since 2020, and questioning the party’s ability to handle more complex governance tasks. The ECN deregistered the NEFF last month due to their failure to publish audited financial reports.
