Puma Energy Namibia adds free Wi-Fi to Windhoek filling stations

Background

Puma Energy Namibia has completed free Wi-Fi installation at 10 of its Windhoek service stations, with the remaining three set to be operational this week. The company plans to extend free Wi-Fi services to about 90% of Puma Energy Namibia sites nationwide. Here is Puma Energy Namibia’s General Manager Adell Samuelson, with more.

 

The company recently announced its financial results for the three months ending 31 March 2024. Puma Energy delivered a stable performance in the underlying business and maintained constant unit margins despite a decrease in volumes and underperformance across certain non-core segments. The Company delivered a net profit of USD 2 million in Q1 2024, excluding the impacts of IFRS 16.

During the quarter, EBITDA was USD 81 million, compared to USD 107 million in Q4 2023 with core retail and aviation businesses delivering solid results and showing an improvement in gross profit relative to both Q4 2023 and Q1 2023 on a constant perimeter basis.
