Secret Service chief: Trump shooting “failure on multiple levels”

Background

 

The Acting Secret Service Director has called the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump a “failure on multiple levels”. Ronald Rowe was testifying before Congress a week after the agency’s director resigned. Republican and Democratic lawmakers grilled Rowe on the failings that led up to the shooting. He spoke about those and detailed actions the agency is now taking as it investigates what went wrong.
