Rise in Human Trafficking Cases in Namibia

Namibia has seen an increase in human trafficking cases since April 2023. Five cases are currently in court, with one conviction. Since August 2023, 26 trafficking victims, including 12 children, have been assisted by the Ministry of Gender Equality. Minister Doreen Sioka noted a troubling rise in domestic trafficking.
