Mbumba Says Full Study Grants for All Students Unfeasible Due to Funding Limits

President Nangolo Mbumba stated that providing study grants to all students through the Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund is unfeasible due to insufficient funding. This response came during a discussion with the United Democratic Front leadership, where UDF’s Mabasen Narib suggested converting NSFAF loans into grants to ease the financial burden on young professionals. Mbumba emphasized the importance of loan repayment by employed beneficiaries to support future students and noted the challenges of implementing socialism fully.
