The MTC Rural Schools Project has built over 40 classrooms across 9 regions, since its inception in 2019. MTC Public Relations Officer, Erasmus Nekundi said this during the handover of 8 classrooms at Tsumeb Primary School in the Oshikoto region on Wednesday.

Since the start of this project, the Minister of Education, Arts, and Culture has emphasized that the Ministry requires a total of N$1.8 billion to address the existing backlog of classrooms. This amounts to the enormous challenge of building 5,169 classrooms nationwide to accommodate primary and secondary students in remote regions.
