The Mines and Energy minister, Thomas Alweendo, highlighted the growing interest in the country’s oil and gas resources at the launch of ‘Wells to Wheels,’ an official omni-channel project aimed at media and public engagement. Launched by Oxygen Communications, the initiative will serve as a resource center for oil and gas information, featuring roundtable discussions and monthly expert podcasts. Hilda Basson, founder of Oxygen Communications, emphasized the project’s commitment to inclusive communication through creative industries. Alweendo also addressed students from local secondary schools, stressing the importance of community involvement in the development of Namibia’s oil and gas sector.
