The UK government is holding an emergency ‘COBRA’ meeting on Monday after a weekend of rioting. There were violent scenes in towns and cities which saw over 150 people arrested and police officers injured. The UK’s Home Office has also offered greater protections for mosques after some were attacked during weekend unrest. Middlesbrough MP Andy McDonald says his city needs to rebuild after violent clashes.
