Former deputy leader of the Landless People’s Movement (LPM) and member of Parliament, Henny Seibeb, has officially rejoined the Swapo Party. Seibeb, who was introduced to party members in his hometown of Khorixas, had recently left the LPM after the party moved to expel him from parliament.
Seibeb told Future Media news about his confidence in the Swapo Party, describing it as a stable and structured organisation. “It’s a stable party. It’s not a Mickey Mouse party, nor is it a one-man show. It’s not a dictatorship,” Seibeb said.

He emphasized the importance of a party with clear processes and institutions, such as a code of conduct and disciplinary committees, where grievances can be addressed fairly.
Seibeb highlighted that working within such a framework is crucial for building democracy, noting that he believes it is better to be part of a ruling party that fosters democratic values.
Local Political Analyst, Dr. Ndumba Kamwanyah has meanwhile weighed in on the move.
