Court Appearance Expected After Fatal Stabbing Over N$5

A 25-year-old man is scheduled to appear in the Mariental Magistrate’s Court tomorrow following his arrest for allegedly stabbing 21-year-old Markus Willem Theodor to death. According to a weekend crime report by the Namibian Police Force, the incident occurred around 2:30am on Sunday at a bar in Gibeon. The altercation, which stemmed from an argument over N$5 owed to the suspect, escalated when he allegedly stabbed Theodor in the chest with an unknown object. Despite being rushed to the hospital by private vehicle, Theodor succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention.
