The Namibian Police Force is enhancing rural security in the Oshikoto Region through a new mobile police initiative. This program aims to educate communities on crime prevention, boost local engagement, and provide updates on reported cases. Regional Commander Theopoline Kalompho-Nashikaku announced plans to set up new police stations by 2025-2026 and highlighted community participation in local sports to strengthen relations. The initiative has already seen 35 young people join the police network, with local leaders welcoming the increased police presence to address issues like stock theft and gender-based violence.
