Air Connect Namibia and Air Botswana will launch new flights connecting Windhoek with Maun, Kasane, and Gaborone, with the Gaborone service extending to Durban. These routes will strengthen business and leisure travel between Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. The Namibia Airports Company, facilitating these operations, said the initiative will increase air access to Namibia. NAC spokesperson, Dan Kamati.
New flights to link Windhoek to Botswana and Durban Tonata Kadhila
Starting from 1 November, Air Botswana will introduce two additional routes: one connecting Maun International Airport to Windhoek and another linking Kasane International Airport to Windhoek. These flights will operate three times a week, specifically on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering convenient access to top tourist attractions such as the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park.
These new services will link the Namibian capital to two of southern Africa’s most renowned tourist destinations: the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park. The flights are scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
Air Botswana’s Chief Executive, Lulu Rasebotsa, said that these new routes would enhance both business opportunities and tourism in the region.
Founded in 1988, Air Botswana and the recently launched Air Connect Namibia, established in 2024, are both committed to enhancing air connectivity and promoting international travel.
