President Nangolo Mbumba has arrived in New York to participate in the upcoming Summit of the Future, which Namibia is co-facilitating alongside Germany. This summit coincides with the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly, with the high-level segment set to commence on Sunday.
The Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation’s Executive Director, Penda Naanda, said that Namibia has been actively involved in facilitating negotiations on the “Pact for the Future” over the past two years.

Naanda said that the Pact for the Future demonstrates the effectiveness of multilateralism in addressing global challenges. As the summit approaches, all eyes will be on the discussions starting Sunday, which will precede the high-level session of the General Assembly.
