Omuthiya faces severe water crisis

Background

Omuthiya, in the Oshikoto region, is currently facing a severe water crisis, with some residents going without water for several days, even up to a week. Local business owners have expressed frustration, saying that the lack of water makes it impossible to operate.

 

Omuthiyagwiipundi is the capital of the Oshikoto Region in northern Namibia and it is situated approximately 10 kilometres from Etosha National Park. It has about 7,500 residents
