Venaani Defends Monica Geingos’ UNGA Attendance Amid Criticism

Leader of the official opposition, McHenry Venaani, has expressed that former First Lady Monica Geingos’ recent attendance at the 79th United Nations General Assembly should be celebrated. His remarks come as some critics question whether her trip was taxpayer-funded. Geingos was recently appointed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres as a Sustainable Development Goals advocate, alongside notable figures such as Michelin-star chef Massimo Bottura, philanthropist Diane von Furstenberg, and entertainer Lilly Singh.
