Pakistan clamps down on protests

Pakistan’s government is clamping down on mass demonstrations, a day former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party said it would hold a public protest in the capital city of Islamabad this week. Khan’s supporters and party leaders held several demonstrations last month, demanding he be released from jail.
