Some members of the Popular Democratic Movement have voiced concerns over the party’s recently released list of potential parliamentarians. Unveiled by party leader McHenry Venaani and secretary general Manuel Ngaringombe, the list features notable names such as Winnie Moongo, Inna Hengari, Roberto Dirkse, and Maximilliant Katjimune, despite their low rankings in the electoral college. Additionally, Venaani’s personal assistant, investigative journalist Sonja Smith, and chief whip Elma Dienda are also nominated. Smith emphasized her readiness to enter politics, motivated by her journalistic experiences with Namibia’s challenges.
