Minister in the South Africa’s Presidency for Women, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities, Sindisiwe Chikunga, is calling for the reconstruction and strengthening of the family structure to end gender-based violence and femicide. On Sunday, five family members, including two young children, lost their lives in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal. Subsequently, another mass shooting took place in Orange Farm, Gauteng, where seven people were shot dead.
