Namibian Police Crime Report Indicates Fatal Discovery in Okahandja and Stock Theft in Okakarara

today21 October, 2024

Background

NamPol’s Crime report indicates that in Okahandja, a 28-year-old Congolese refugee, Jean James Kiala, was found dead in his rental home on October 18, after being missing for three days. His co-tenants discovered the body due to a foul odor and notified the police; a postmortem will determine the cause of death. Meanwhile, in Okakarara, a 25-year-old Namibian male was arrested for unlawfully slaughtering three goats valued at N$4,500 from a grazing field between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM on the same day. The police recovered all three carcasses, and investigations are ongoing.
