German police have busted a criminal gang they accuse of using a restaurant to deliver drugs. From Berlin, Trent Murray has more.
According to Deutsche Welle, the pizzeria in Düsseldorf was found to be delivering more than just pizzas. German police reported that the restaurant was also offering cocaine as a side dish, humorously listed on the menu as “pizza No. 40.” “This was one of the most popular items,” a German police officer said.
The 36-year-old owner was arrested after he attempted to dispose of a bag of drugs by throwing it out the window just as police arrived at his door. The bag landed directly in the hands of the officers.
He had no prior criminal history.
