The government has officially adopted the Mine Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures from the SADC Health Desk, focusing on improving the prevention, screening, and treatment of tuberculosis in the mining sector. The signing of these procedures involved the officials from the Mines and Energy, as well as Labour, Industrial Relations, and Employment Creation ministries, emphasizing a commitment to worker health.
