Windhoek City Police Boost Security with Donation of 10 CCTV Cameras

Background

The City of Windhoek has received a donation of 10 CCTV cameras from the Khomas Regional Council, aimed at enhancing safety for residents in various constituencies. The cameras will be handed over to the City Police Department for operations and maintenance, and will be strategically installed in identified crime hotspots in collaboration with constituency offices. Monitored from the Windhoek City Police Command and Dispatch Centre, the cameras will facilitate a proactive crime prevention approach. The Windhoek City Police will oversee the installation, monitoring, and maintenance of the CCTV system, ensuring a prompt response to incidents detected through the surveillance.
