today4 November, 2024

Background

Green Hydrogen Commissioner James Mnyupe and Namcor executive Victoria Sibeya have come under fire for discussing national projects at a Swapo rally, with concerns raised over the use of government resources in a potentially partisan context. In footage seen by Future Media, during a panel titled “Green Hydrogen, Where Does the Ordinary Namibian Youth Fit In?” Mnyupe stated he represented the Green Hydrogen Council, leaving “party colors at home,” while Sibeya referred to attendees as “comrades” and detailed Namcor’s US$500 million drilling plans.
