Weekend Crime Roundup Indicates Drug Arrests in Rehoboth And Fatal Collision in Mariental

In Rehoboth on Friday, police arrested two suspects in separate cases related to drug possession. A 52-year-old woman was caught with cannabis and mandrax valued at N$1,020, while a 35-year-old man was found with 165 grams of cannabis worth N$8,250. Meanwhile, at a roadblock near Kalkrand, a 25-year-old suspect was arrested with cannabis. All suspects are set to appear in court today. Meanwhile, in a fatal incident south of Mariental on Friday night, a Range Rover reportedly struck cyclist Petrus Mooitjie, a 36-year-old who was confirmed deceased.
