Taiwan coast guard to harness ‘people power’ to report Chinese activity

Taiwan’s coast guard says it would offer rewards worth thousands of dollars for spotting Chinese activity at sea, including warships or submarines, saying it was harnessing “people power” to boost its own limited workforce. China claims Taiwan as its own and has ramped up military activities around the island in recent years to put pressure on the island nation. Laura Westbrook reports.
