The Namibian Police Force has successfully seized various illegal drugs and arrested 191 individuals during their ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crimes in October 2024. The confiscated drugs include over 265 kilograms of cannabis, 1,419 Mandrax tablets, 186 units of crack cocaine, 10.37 grams of cocaine powder, and 7 capsules of MOMA. The arrested suspects, which include Namibian nationals as well as individuals from Angola, Burundi, Congo, Cuba, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, and Tanzania, are now facing charges related to drug trafficking.
