Barug Street Renamed to Honour Dr. Fleming Aspara

In Katutura’s Luxury Hill neighborhood, Barug Street has officially been renamed in memory of the late Dr. Fleming Aspara, a respected doctor who lived and practiced on that street. Known for bringing quality healthcare to Katutura’s Black community, Dr. Aspara’s legacy was celebrated by residents, with over 90% of the Barug Street community supporting the name change. This renaming not only honours his contribution to local healthcare but also preserves his legacy as a key figure in the community.
