Windhoek Council Receives Top Rating for Employment Equity Compliance

The Municipal Council of Windhoek has earned an A-Grade rating for employment equity, scoring 95.56% in its 2023/2024 review by the Employment Equity Commission. The high rating recognizes the Council’s strides in implementing affirmative action and fostering workplace inclusivity. However, the Commission’s report emphasized the need to improve employment for persons with disabilities. In response, the Council’s Department of Human Capital and Corporate Services is now developing targeted initiatives to address this priority, underscoring the Council’s commitment to diversity and equity across its workforce.
