Namibia Fact Check has expressed concerns about social media attacks on opposition candidate Panduleni Itula, suggesting foreign interference may be involved. Editor Frederico Links warned that these campaigns could threaten Namibia’s electoral democracy. He compared the attacks to similar trends in other African countries. Links also pointed to past concerns about Zimbabwe’s Zanu-PF meddling in Namibian politics, which has been denied. He urged electoral authorities to act to prevent manipulation and preserve trust in democratic elections.
