President Nangolo Mbumba, in his message ahead of Namibia’s 8th Presidential and National Assembly Elections, called on all Namibians to vote in large numbers and uphold democratic traditions. He highlighted the importance of peaceful, fair, and free elections, recalling the country’s 34-year democratic history. The first citizen expressed gratitude to the late President Hage Geingob and urged citizens to participate calmly and respectfully. The head of state, in addition, acknowledged the contributions of political parties, the Electoral Commission of Namibia, and law enforcement in ensuring a smooth election process.
