South Africa's Human Settlements Minister Mmamoloko Kubayi concluded her Egypt visit, celebrating South Africa’s achievements at the 12th World Urban Forum. Kubayi said that South Africa also initiated a SADC ministers’ meeting to accelerate informal settlement upgrades, sharing insights and solutions for sustainable cities globally. This after releasing the 2023 census data without employment figures, the NSA received a letter of demand from the Economic Policy Research Association calling for the data within 10 days. Shimuafeni emphasized the NSA’s commitment to impartiality, stating that data is released simultaneously to all stakeholders without prior consultation.
