At least 73 people have reportedly died under mysterious circumstances in Sudan’s al-Hilaliya, a town besieged by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces , according to the Sudanese Doctors Union as reported by Reuters. The town is among dozens in eastern El Gezira state affected by recent RSF attacks, sparked by the defection of a senior commander to the army, displacing over 135,000 people in a wave of retaliatory violence.
