African Union and Global Leaders Applaud Nandi-Ndaitwah

Background

Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has made history as Namibia’s first female president, securing 57% of the vote in the recent elections. Her victory, praised by African Union Chairperson Moussa Faki Mahamat and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, coincides with significant political changes. Lukato Lukato is the leader of the National Democratic Party. He has secured a seat in parliament. He has pledged to serve all citizens and focus on key issues such as unemployment and access to essential services once he takes his place in the August House.
