Unknown Disease Claims 79 Lives in DR Congo……

Background

BBCAfrica says at least 79 people have died from a mysterious illness with flu-like symptoms in southwestern Democratic Republic of Congo. The majority of victims are between 15 and 18 years old, with over 300 infected. Symptoms include fever, headaches, coughs, breathing difficulties, and anemia. Health teams are investigating the outbreak in Kwango Province.
