The Municipal Council of Windhoek has provided an update on the Voluntary Exchange Programme for houses built in the 1959-1960s in Katutura and Khomasdal. The initiative, designed to celebrate and conserve the city’s heritage, has seen 23 applications so far. The council has extended the deadline to February 2025 to encourage further participation, especially from areas with low representation. Homeowners of qualifying properties are invited to apply for modern homes through the Affordable Housing Project.
