A total of 36,976 individuals were tested for HIV in the Oshikoto region from January 1 to October 31 this year, with 449 testing positive. Health expert Saara Uushona shared these figures during the World AIDS Day observance in Windhoek on Thursday. She noted that while 436 of those who tested positive have been linked to treatment, challenges such as stigma, side effects of medication, and forgetfulness remain barriers for people living with HIV.
