Hacking Group “God” Claims Attack on Health Ministry’s Pharmaceutical Systems

today16 December, 2024

Background

The health ministry has deactivated some servers amid cybersecurity alerts following a Telecom Namibia hack. Executive director Ben Nangombe denied awareness of any direct attack or ransom demands but noted anonymized files circulating online. The hacking group Hunters International leaked 356 pages of sensitive data, including files from the Presidency, Prime Minister’s Office, and Defence Ministry. A group, calling itself “God,” claimed responsibility for targeting the health ministry’s pharmaceutical systems.
