South African Presidency Questions McKinsey’s G20 Role

The South African Presidency has expressed concern over McKinsey’s appointment to the business engagement group that meets to coordinate the participation of business in the G20, and Bain’s role in South Africa’s Energy Council Project Management Office. Highlighting their past involvement in state capture, the Presidency spokesperson Vincent Magwenya states that these appointments undermine public trust and good governance. Magwenya emphasised the need for more credible partners:
