Namibian Experts Explore Cultural Preservation and Remembrance in Germany

Namibia’s Director of National Heritage and Culture Programmes, Manfred !Gaeb, and media expert Shelleygan Petersen, recently participated in a study trip to Germany from December 8th to 14th, focusing on “Culture of Remembrance and Cultural Preservation.” The visit explored colonial history, museum cooperation, and restitution while fostering international collaborations with institutions like the Federal Foreign Office and the Grassi Museum. !Gaeb emphasized the importance of museums as platforms for cultural renewal and outlined plans for partnerships to enhance Namibia’s cultural heritage initiatives.
