Bank Windhoek has appointed James Chapman as Managing Director Designate, effective from 1 February 2025, following approval by the Bank of Namibia. The financial institution says Chapman, a Chartered Accountant with over 11 years at Bank Windhoek, will succeed Baronice Hans, who will conclude her tenure in June after serving as the bank’s first female and longest-serving Managing Director. Johan Swanepoel, the Bank’s Chairperson, expressed confidence in Chapman’s leadership to continue the bank’s growth. Chapman will work alongside Hans for a smooth transition before officially taking over the position in July.
