The Electoral Commission has clarified that no new voters were allowed to vote on November 28, 2024, during the extended election period. ECN Chairperson Elsie Nghikembua stated that only those still in queues by 21:00 on November 27 were permitted to vote. The extension was due to technical issues and ballot shortages at 36 polling stations. Political parties, including Nudo, are backing court challenges to the election results, citing irregularities and calling for accountability or a re-election.
