Sudanese volunteer rescuers reported that shelling in Omdurman, Khartoum’s twin city across the Nile, has left over 120 people dead. Reports say medical supplies are critically scarce as health workers face overwhelming numbers of injured individuals. The fighting between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces has intensified in recent weeks, following more than 20 months of conflict in Sudan.
